SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls bail bondsman has been indicted for allegedly accepting illegal tips and allowing unlicensed bounty hunters to make an arrest.

The Argus Leader newspaper reports (https://argusne.ws/1FLQ2bm ) that a grand jury has indicted 54-year-old Steven Krier of Dakota Bail Bonds on a felony charge of aiding and abetting an unlicensed and unqualified person to act as a bail bondsman, and a misdemeanor count of accepting a tip as a bail bondsman.

State law bars bail bond agents from accepting tips for their services.

Krier did not immediately respond to an Associated Press request for comment.
