WOODBURY, N.J. (AP) - A southern New Jersey man has been charged with fatally stabbing his father during an argument.

Joseph Zambuto was being held on $1 million bail Tuesday. It wasn’t known if he had retained an attorney.

The Gloucester County prosecutor’s office says the 34-year-old Zambuto stabbed his 70-year-old father, also named Joseph, in the younger Zambuto’s home Monday afternoon in Monroe Township.

The senior Zambuto lived with his wife next door to their son, who lived with a girlfriend and their one-year-old child.

Prosecutors didn’t disclose the source of the dispute.

An autopsy conducted Tuesday concluded the elder Zambuto died from a knife wound to the chest.
