SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office says three people have been found dead after a house fire in Colbert, an unincorporated area north of Spokane.
Firefighters were called about 2 a.m. on Tuesday and found a home and an outbuilding on fire. The sheriff’s office says they found the remains of an adult in the home.
The Spokesman-Review reports that sheriff’s deputies found two other bodies on the property.
Identities of the victims were not released.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury but was treated and released on scene by paramedics.
Spokane County detectives are investigating the three deaths.
Neighbors told the newspaper that a man in his 50s lived in the home, along with a niece.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
