VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Two southwest Washington men arrested in connection to a string of church burglaries have appeared in court.

The Columbian of Vancouver reports (https://is.gd/uDt6X8 ) that prosecutors say the two men are connected to burglarizing at least four churches in Camas and Washougal. They appeared in Clark County Superior Court Tuesday where they were appointed attorneys.

According to court documents one man stole electronics, musical instruments, money, bibles and other items from the churches and gave some of the stolen property to the other man in exchange for heroin.

Camas and Washougal detectives, who investigated, say they anticipate additional arrests in connection to the burglaries.

The men are scheduled to be arraigned June 9.
