REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say two women were hurt when they were punched during a robbery in Rehoboth Beach.

It happened about 9:35 p.m. Tuesday on Airport Road. Troopers say the women were unloading groceries from their car when two masked men, one with a handgun, confronted them.

Police say the men demanded the women’s purses, but they refused to give them up. Authorities say the men punched the women, knocking them to the ground, and took both purses.

The women were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
