LYSANDER, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on a hiking trail in upstate New York.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says a hiker found the man Tuesday night on a trail in the Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area in the town of Lysander, 20 miles northwest of Syracuse.

Detective Jon Seeber says the man was identified as 70-year-old Joseph Crisafulli of Clay. Seeber says it appears Crisafulli was stricken with a medical problem. An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of death.

The remote area where Crisafulli was found is surrounded by wetlands. The nearly 3,600-acre wildlife management area is a popular spot for hunters, fishers and hikers.
