BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Baton Rouge business-led coalition seeking transportation improvements is trying to get more members of the public to take an online survey about traffic on the Interstate 10 corridor.
The 21-question survey is designed to gather data on commuting patterns, the use of specific stretches of roadway, problematic interchanges and the effects of congestion on drivers and communities. The survey ends May 31.
The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1KzqKA8) the state Department of Transportation and Development is studying the issue and will use the survey to identify system problems and driving patterns.
Hugh Raetzsch, vice chair of the Capital Region Industry for Sustainable Infrastructure Solutions, says it’s important that DOTD get the input of everyone who regularly travels the congested corridor.
