GRAYLING, Mich. (AP) - The Camp Grayling military training base is offering public tours this summer.

Visitors will tour the Officer’s Club, take a bus tour of the garrison and participate in virtual training exercises at the simulation center. Attendees also may get to observe live training at various ranges as operations allow.

Tours of the Michigan Army National Guard facility are scheduled for four Saturday mornings: June 27, July 11, Aug. 1 and Sept. 12.

The official name of the facility near Grayling in the northern Lower Peninsula is Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center. It was founded in 1913 and bills itself as the country’s largest National Guard training center.
