DESTIN, Fla. (AP) - Former Providence forward Tyler Harris has enrolled at Auburn as a graduate transfer.

Tigers coach Bruce Pearl said at Southeastern Conference spring meetings that Harris started classes on Tuesday. The recent graduate played two seasons at Providence after transferring from North Carolina State.

The 6-foot-9, 223-pound Harris averaged 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds last season, starting 12 games. He started all 35 games two seasons ago at Providence, which made back-to-back NCAA Tournaments.

Pearl says Harris “gives us a multi-dimensional player” who can shoot the 3-pointer, pass and drive to the basket.

Auburn has one scholarship still available but Pearl says he might not add another player.

Reserve forward Jack Purchase recently became the third frontcourt player to leave the program this offseason.
