KINGSTON, N.Y. (AP) - Jury selection is underway for a former employee of a New York City agency who’s charged with killing a co-worker at their upstate office last year.

The Daily Freeman of Kingston reports (https://bit.ly/1cirM4J ) that three jurors have been selected for the murder trial of 55-year-old David Reese of Gilboa in Schoharie.

Authorities say he fatally shot 33-year-old Aron Thomas of Olivebridge in February 2014 in the New York City Department of Environmental Protection office building in Kingston, 85 miles north of the city.

During a court hearing in December, a DEP police officer testified that Reese claimed Thomas was “stalking” him.

Jury selection is scheduled to resume Wednesday morning in Ulster County Court. Opening statements could be made in the afternoon.
