ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers are investigating a shooting that left a man seriously injured early Wednesday morning at a home outside Palmer.

Troopers say the man suspected of firing the gun remained on scene and was questioned.

He told troopers a group of men arrived at his home in Butte and caused a disturbance.

He said they would not leave and he fired the gun, striking one of the men. The other men fled.

The wounded man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers took a call on the shooting shortly after 2 a.m.

Troopers say they’re asking people with information about the incident to contact them.
