IRONDALE, Ala. (AP) - A new police dog is working with Irondale officers.
Al.com (https://bit.ly/1ch3Sq5 ) reports that Pike, a 21-month-old German Shepherd, was introduced to officers this week. The drug detection dog replaces a K-9 that died last year.
The new dog, Pike, was born in Hungary and has been in the United States for three months. Irondale police obtained the dog through the Alabama Law Enforcement Canine Training Center in Samantha.
