TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman says a transient found ablaze in the Tacoma, Washington, suburb of Parkland in March has died.
The News Tribune reports (https://is.gd/lpKVME ) that sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer says the death is being investigated as a homicide.
Troyer says the 46-year-old man died late Monday night.
He had been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after bystanders found him on fire on March 12 outside a Parkland business.
Investigators say the man told one person that someone set him on fire. Troyer says he’s been hospitalized ever since.
