SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Police say the suspect in a Tuesday bank robbery may be responsible for a series of similar crimes in the Bay Area.

The Sacramento Bee reports (https://bit.ly/1Exc8ZL) Elk Grove Police Department spokesman Christopher Trim says a man entered a Chase Bank, implied he had a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of money. Police suspect he’s the same man who’s robbed Bay Area banks in the past.

Information from the FBI is directing Elk Grove detectives toward 48-year-old Darius Gilbert.

Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous, with a felony arrest warrant in San Francisco. He’s described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with short dark hair. He could be driving a silver 2007 four-door BMW 750.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Alert.
