WASHINGTON (AP) - Animal lovers will no longer be able to see some animals live online through National Zoo cameras.

The zoo says the software running some of its older cameras will no longer be supported and must be taken offline. The zoo says its mole rat cam, clouded leopard cam, orangutan cam, fishing cat cam and Asian small-clawed otter cam will go dark on June 1. The zoo says its panda cam, lion cam and elephant cam are not affected.

The zoo says it is exploring new technology and funding to expand online viewing in the future.
