SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota driver has admitted to causing a car crash that injured five people and fleeing from the scene.

The Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1J23YAr ) reports 33-year-old Mandy Lee Running on Wednesday pleaded guilty to one count of felony hit-and-run. Prosecutors agreed to drop a second count in exchange for her guilty plea.

Authorities in Sioux Falls say the March 4 crash happened when Running drove a car through a stop sign and collided with another vehicle.

All of Running’s passengers were taken to a hospital. Police have said three of the passengers gave Running’s name to police after she fled the scene.

The Sioux Falls woman was arrested days after the incident. She faces up to two years in prison.
