WESTMINSTER, S.C. (AP) - Officers arrested a Westminster woman who was accused of telling a park ranger she was a South Carolina Law Enforcement Division employee.

The Anderson Independent-Mail (https://bit.ly/1Q94VGe ) reports 43-year-old Clara Irene Williams was involved in an altercation at Chau Ram County Park Friday. Oconee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jimmy Watt says when a park ranger attempted to intervene between Williams and a woman, Williams threatened to have the ranger arrested.

A warrant says Williams covered up her license plate as well.

Williams was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer. It is unclear if she has a lawyer.
