WASHINGTON (AP) — A woman is dead and four other people are injured after a rash of overnight shootings in D.C.

D.C. police responded to a shooting at 9 p.m. Wednesday night and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was conscious and taken to the hospital.

Twelve minutes later, another man was shot in Southeast and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to a third shooting around 9:41 p.m. A woman with a gunshot wound to the chest was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.

A teenager was shot around 10:30 p.m. and officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg around 4:10 a.m. Both were taken to hospitals.

There is no indication the shootings are connected. No one has been arrested.
