REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) - Police have arrested two Ellendale men accused of taking part in a recent Rehoboth Beach bank robbery.

Delaware State Police spokesman Richard Bratz announced Thursday that police have charged 18-year-old Lamar Smith and 27-year-old Mark Smith with first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy in connection with a robbery last Saturday at a Capital One bank branch.

Police say a male suspect entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and was handed an undisclosed amount of cash by a teller.

A vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ getaway car was spotted by police on Wednesday during a traffic stop. The two men inside were arrested.

Police say tips from the public helped investigators link the two suspects to the crime.

Bratz says he does not know if the men have retained attorneys.
