CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) - Two finalists to become chancellor of Southern Illinois University’s Carbondale campus are scheduled to meet with the school’s board of trustees next week.

WSIU radio reports (https://bit.ly/1PQ4R33 ) that SIUC Acting Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Ford and Oregon State University Vice President and Provost Sabah Randhawa (sah-BUH’ rahn-DAH-wah) will be on campus next week.

SIU President Randy Dunn says introducing candidates to the trustees is the last step in the hiring process. Dunn hopes the campus has a new chancellor this summer or early fall.

Dunn has been serving as the campus’ overseer since interim chancellor Paul Sarvela died of cancer in November.
