RANSOM TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say an 84-year-old man has died after a tractor rolled into a ravine and pinned him in Hillsdale County.

The sheriff’s department says Clyde Town was driving on a road in Ransom Township on Tuesday when a tire went over a washed-out portion of road, causing the tractor to roll.

Deputies found him pinned and he was pronounced dead at the scene about 85 miles southwest of Detroit. He was about a half-mile from home.

The death is under investigation.
