Aberdeen man shot by child while target shooting, dies

ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - An Aberdeen man died after being shot by a child while target shooting with friends.

The American News reports (https://bit.ly/1BqRHxF ) that the death of 22-year-old Eh Thon Gar has been ruled accidental.

Brown County Coroner Michael Carlsen says Gar was target shooting with friends northeast of the city late Monday when a 4-year-old boy picked up a rifle and it went off, wounding Gar in the abdomen.

Gar was taken to a hospital, where he died about seven hours later.
