ATLANTA (AP) - The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office says a man accused of killing his wife has been found dead near a southwest Atlanta park.

Multiple news outlets report investigators said they found the body of 41-year-old Rockwell Thelmon Serrabo Wednesday night not far from where he left his vehicle in Sandtown Park. Authorities believe he shot himself in the woods behind a home in south Fulton County.

Cpl. Ashley Henson with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office says shortly after 1:30 p.m., a woman who said she was Serrabo’s ex-girlfriend called 911 to report the man told her he had killed his wife and was considering killing himself.

When deputies arrived at Serrabo’s Hiram home they found his wife, 44-year-old Nicole Thomas, dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
