DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say emergency crews have found a body in a burning car on property owned by the Dubuque Regional Airport.

The Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1FQvE8Q ) Dubuque firefighters responded to a report of a burning car about 6 a.m. Thursday and found the body in the vehicle’s passenger compartment.

The body was taken to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification.

Investigators think they know the identity of the body but want confirmation.

Airport Administrator Robert Grierson says the fire didn’t delay any flights at the airport.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department and Iowa Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire.
