NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - New Haven police and U.S. marshals have captured a man wanted in connection with a 2011 fatal shooting.

Authorities announced Thursday that they arrested 33-year-old Robert Gallishaw on murder and gun charges Wednesday, shortly after a judge signed an arrest warrant for him.

Police allege Gallishaw killed 39-year-old Albert Jenkins in May 2011. Jenkins was found in the area of Middletown Avenue and Cranston Street in New Haven with gunshot wounds to his face and chest. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Officials didn’t release details on what led them to arrest Gallishaw. Police are planning to disclose more information at a news conference Monday.

Gallishaw is being held on $1 million bail. His response to the allegations isn’t known. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
