CLEVELAND (AP) - A Cleveland man has been convicted of killing one man and paralyzing another in shootings that prosecutors say were sparked by jealousy over a woman.

Northeast Ohio Media Group reports (https://bit.ly/1LKMkin ) a jury found 25-year-old Luis Nitsche guilty Wednesday of aggravated murder, murder, attempted murder and related offenses. He was found not guilty on one count of aggravated robbery.

Prosecutors say Nitsche shot Barry Dean in December 2013, paralyzing him. Less than a month later, Nitsche fatally shot Laweldon McDowell after a street-side altercation. Prosecutors say he tried to shoot at others nearby, but his gun jammed.

Both victims were linked to a woman Nitsche had been seeing.

Defense attorney John Luskin says he respects the verdict, but his client maintains his innocence.

Nitsche will be sentenced on June 4.
