CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to killing a 25-year-old Beaufort man after arranging to buy the victim’s pickup truck off Craigslist.

Multiple media outlets reported that 21-year-old Jquan Scott of James island pleaded guilty Wednesday to murder, armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a gun during a violent crime.

Scott faces at least 30 years in prison on the murder plea.

Prosecutors said William Alex Apps had agreed to meet Scott and another man at a Charleston restaurant in 2013 to sell a pickup truck that Apps had advertised on Craigslist.

Prosecutors say the College of Charleston student was killed during a test drive as the men drove into Mount Pleasant. Apps’ body was found several days later in some woods.

Twenty-year-old Isaac R. Williams of Charleston is awaiting trial.
