MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Police Department is offering to trade guns for new bicycles.

The department is launching its “More Bikes Less Guns Project” on Saturday. Anyone turning in a gun will receive a bicycle, no questions asked. Police say road, mountain and children’s bikes will be available, and some will be worth more than $300.

Gift cards to various stores also will be available instead of a bicycle.

Police say a community bike ride led by members of the department will follow the trade-in event.
