MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say four people were hurt when a vehicle struck an Amish buggy and then fled in northeast Ohio.

WEWS-TV (https://bit.ly/1AxWTVK ) reports a man, a woman and two children in the buggy were taken to a hospital after the crash Thursday night near Middlefield, a village roughly 35 miles east of Cleveland. The station says relatives of the people who were hurt said their injuries weren’t life-threatening.

The Geauga (jee-‘AW-guh) County Sheriff’s Office said a description of the vehicle that hit the buggy wasn’t immediately available.

The horse that was pulling the buggy also was injured. The family said it was not expected to survive.
