SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a contract worker at Syracuse Hancock International Airport has been charged with making a terrorist threat after co-workers said he threatened to get a gun and “kill everybody.”

Syracuse police said Sunday that 33-year-old Mohammad Salak reportedly made the threat Friday after arguing with a fellow employee of Envoy, a company that handles ground services for United Airlines.

Lt. Eric Carr said a Syracuse officer working airport security detained Salak after co-workers reported what he said. Salak was removed from his position with the contractor and his security credentials were revoked.

Police say no weapons were found in Salak’s locker. Police determined the threats were directed at co-workers, not the public.

Salak is being held in the Onondaga County jail. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer.
