HONOLULU (AP) - A former University of Hawaii running back says his new goal is to play as long as possible at the next level.
Joey Iosefa on Saturday was selected by the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 14th pick of the seventh round.
The 6-foot, 242 pound Iosefa says he was told he will compete at running back, fullback, H-back and tight end.
Iosefa was the only UH player selected but the Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://bit.ly/1JiJRef) reports another UH player will get a look.
Former center Kody Afusia received an invitation to the Arizona Cardinals’ mini-camp and could sign a free-agent contract afterward.
