SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse Police say an autopsy has determined that an 87-year-old man found dead in Onondaga Creek died of drowning.

The body was found around 5 p.m. Friday and turned over to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner for autopsy. Lt. Eric Carr said the man’s death is not considered criminal.

Carr said the man’s name will not be released, out of respect for his family.
