PLYMOUTH, Ind. (AP) - A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a northern Indiana teenager whose partially burned body was found in a wooded area last December.
The South Bend Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1OV7UXr) Fabian Roman Rubio of Bremen also was charged Monday with sexual misconduct with a minor and abuse of a corpse in the death of 15-year-old Desi Jones.
Jones’ body was discovered Dec. 19 near a wooded area a few miles from her home by a man walking his dog. A coroner ruled that her death was caused by blunt force trauma, but a probable cause affidavit also revealed Jones’ upper body was charred by fire. Lab results showed the presence of gasoline.
