BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police in Birmingham are investigating a fatal triple shooting.
Lt. Sean Edwards tells WBMA-TV that three people were found dead inside a home in the city’s Smithfield neighborhood Monday. Edwards says the victims appear to have been asleep or caught off guard when shots were fired.
Neighborhood president Shirley Floyd tells Al.com that a relative of one of the victims found their bodies.
The identities of the victims and details on the circumstances that led up to the shooting have not been released.
