HAVRE, Mont. (AP) - Three young adults were hospitalized and a 17-year-old was arrested after a weekend stabbing at an apartment near Montana State University-Northern in Havre.

Two women and a man told officers the young man broke into their apartment early Saturday and stabbed them, Havre police Lt. Aaron Wittmer said.

None of the victims were from Havre and may be attending college in the city.

The victims were able to describe the suspect and the 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and three counts of attempted deliberate homicide.

He was being held in the juvenile detention center in Cascade County. His name has not been released.

The victims were a 20-year-old woman and two 19-year-olds, a man and a woman.

All three were taken to a hospital in Great Falls and one of the women was flown to Billings for further treatment. Their conditions were not immediately available and their names have not been released.

Agents with the state Division of Criminal Investigation helped Havre police investigate the assaults.

The Hill County attorney’s office will determine what charges will be filed.
