LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - At least six people have been displaced in a fire that damaged two apartment units in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Firefighters say the responded to the fire shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday. They said there was heavy smoke in the first-floor apartment, and the fire burned through the ceiling into the second floor.

There were no injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
