CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Former Clemson guard Shelbie Davenport is transferring to Chattanooga.

Chattanooga announced Davenport’s move on Monday. Davenport will sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Davenport averaged 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds in 28 minutes a game for Clemson last season as a freshman. She played in 29 games, making 20 starts.

The 6-foot Davenport is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and has three years of eligibility remaining.
