TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Gov. Chris Christie signed 10 measures into law on Monday. Here’s a look at those bills:

DRIVER’S ED

The new law requires a high school driver education course, certain new driver brochures and the driver’s license written exam to include aggressive driving information. (S-266/A1013)

HEART HEALTH

The new measure calls for annual physical examinations of children 19 years of age or younger to include certain questions related to cardiac health. (S-471/A-1473)

NEW NURSING POWER

This allows an attending advanced practice nurse to determine the cause of death and execute the death certification of a patient if that nurse is the patient’s primary caregiver. (S-1152/A-1319)

LIGHTS OUT

This requires public utilities to prepare a study evaluating street light outages. (S-1349/A-3739)

UNEMPLOYMENT PAYMENTS

The law lets the state prevent payment to vendors for delinquent unemployment and disability taxes and charging administrative fees to the vendors. (S-1622/ACS for A-3154, 2946)

UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE

The measure provides that a worker who leaves one job to accept other work and is then laid off from the second position is not disqualified for unemployment insurance benefits. (SCS for S-2082/A-3425)

LABOR DEPARTMENT PROCESS

This bill requires Department of Labor and Workforce Development personnel to establish and maintain a procedure for reviewing the unemployment claims receipt and processing system. (S-2414/A-3155 )

COAL ROLLING

The law prohibits retrofitting diesel-powered vehicles to increase particulate emissions for the purpose of “coal rolling,” a term for fitting a vehicle with a smoke stack to create increased soot and smoke. (S-2418/A-3583)

DEBIT CHARGE RESPONSIBILITY

The law stipulates that retail motor fuel dealers shall not be responsible for certain fees associated with credit, debit and rewards cards. (S-2434/A-1985)

BASS REGULATION

This measure authorizes the Department of Environmental Protection and the Marine Fisheries Council to regulate the taking and management of striped bass. (A-4146/S-2733 )
