WESTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - Family members say a young man killed in a single car crash in Westhampton early Sunday died on his 20th birthday.

Police say Sean Hornby-Finch was killed after he lost control of his car on state Route 66 and crashed into the woods. His family told the Daily Hampshire Gazette (https://bit.ly/1KH22Lp) they had planned a party for him later in the day.

Hornby-Finch had been headed to the Westhampton home where he lived with his one of his mothers, Adrienne Hornby. His other mother, Leah Finch, told the newspaper Hornby-Finch “had the biggest heart of anyone I ever knew.” Finch’s partner Christine Young said he loved his extended family including a brother and sister, and her three children.

Family and friends said Hornby-Finch was attending Holyoke Community College and planned to go to the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
