TOWN OF VINLAND, Wis. (AP) - Authorities are asking the public for help after human remains were found in east-central Wisconsin last week.

The Winnebago County sheriff’s office says the remains were found near railroad tracks in the Town of Vinland.

The remains appear to be that of a white male, age unknown. WLUK-TV (https://bit.ly/1EMcizX ) reports the remains apparently had been at that location anytime from January 2013 to December 2014.

Forensic testing is being done to try to identify the remains and determine the cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Winnebago County sheriff’s office.
