CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. (AP) - An Oregon developer is late on the rent six months after ambitious development plans were announced for the Illinois Valley Airport.

The Medford Mail Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1ESgVtB) the county leased its airport last November amid promises that upgrades would bring in tenants and add 200 jobs.

Josephine County commissioners issued a default warning last week for Larry Osborn and his company, Manor Communities Development Corporation, when none of these promises came to fruition.

As of Jan. 2, the development company owes the county more than $174,000.

In the letter commissioners sent to Osborn’s lawyer, who declined to comment on the story, the businessman has to prove he doesn’t have any liens against him or his assets.

Osborn’s company has offices in Nevada, Oregon and California.
