DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - A Dayton air show that draws an average of 75,000 spectators annually in southwest Ohio will continue to have an Indiana-based energy holding company as its title sponsor.
Air show officials say Vectren Corporation has been the top sponsor since 2001. A new agreement with the corporation based in Evansville, Indiana, extends that partnership through 2018.
This year’s Vectren Dayton Air Show is scheduled for June 20 and 21 at Dayton International Airport. Show officials announced earlier that the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Breitling Jet Team from Dijon, France, will be among the main attractions.
Officials say the event founded to promote Dayton and its aviation heritage is one of the longest-running air shows in the country. This year will mark its 41st consecutive year of operation.
