KEARNEY, Neb. (AP) - Archery, kayaking and fishing are among the outdoor activities that people will be able to try at the Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo.

The event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area near Kearney in south-central Nebraska.

People of all ages will be able to try a variety of outdoor activities at no cost, under the guidance of trained outdoor educators. Equipment will be provided.

There also will be demonstrations on predator calling, turkey hunting and Nebraska’s native snakes.
