DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to making a false report during a manhunt for the suspect in the murders of six people in suburban Philadelphia.

Thirty-four-year-old Luke Sanderlin of Doylestown pleaded guilty Monday to false alarm, false report and reckless endangerment. Prosecutors withdrew a felony charge of risking a catastrophe.

The Philadelphia Inquirer (https://bit.ly/1Ibt6o3 ) reports that Sanderlin said little during Monday’s hearing in Bucks County Court.

Police were searching for Bradley Stone in the murders of his ex-wife and five of her relatives in December when they said Sanderlin reported an attack by someone resembling the suspect.

Stone was later found dead, and detectives accused Sanderlin of fabricating the story.

Defense attorney James Cunilio said he wished the case had gone to trial because he considered the evidence “sparse.”
