PHENIX CITY, Ala. (AP) - Police say a young boy who was shot in his chest is expected to recover from his injuries.
Phenix City Police Lt. George Staudinger tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/1R6MzsJ ) the 1-year-old boy is in stable condition at an Atlanta hospital after being shot Friday night.
Staudinger says the shooting is still under investigation. Police have said the boy’s grandmother and two other children were at home when the shot was fired. The circumstances that led to the shooting are unclear.
