CARENCRO, La. (AP) - State police say a 27-year-old Pineville woman died in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 49 near Carencro.
Master Trooper Brooks David said in a news release that Jessica Short was northbound Sunday afternoon when her SUV left the interstate, crossed the service road and hit several trees.
David says Short was taken to Lafayette General Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
