PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say charges are pending against a man who allegedly was driving impaired and caused a Phoenix crash that left two people dead and three injured.

Police say the 28-year-old man is along the injured and he’ll be charged with homicide and aggravated assault after he’s released from a hospital.

They say his blood-alcohol level is believed to have been three times the legal limit.

Police say the head-on collision occurred Sunday night when the man’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a car occupied by four people.

The driver and front-seat passenger - a 27-year-old man and 28-year-old woman - were killed.

Police say a 4-year-old girl passenger suffered a fractured neck and currently is paralyzed.

The other backseat passenger was a 26-year-old man who’s seriously injured.
