GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - University of North Dakota backers will have the opportunity to have their names permanently etched into the new medical school.

The public will have two chances to sign one of two beams that will be placed on top of the new UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences building.

The first opportunity is Friday, when UND President Robert Kelley, as well and UND Vice President for Health Affairs and UND med school dean Joshua Wynne, are scheduled to sign the beam.

The other beam signing is set for on May 15.

Everyone who signs the beam will receive a complimentary keychain.
