TAYLORSVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The Southern Pine Electric Power Association says members with good payment histories will be getting their deposits back.

The co-op has more than 65,000 meters in 11 south Mississippi counties.

General Manager Donald Jordan tells the Hattiesburg American (https://hatne.ws/1JK3Upf ) that members whose deposit was at least $200 will get a credit if they have good payment history for at least 12 months in a row.

He says those with smaller deposits will get a credit regardless of payment history.

Those with multiple accounts will get a credit for each account. And interest will be credited monthly on all remaining deposits.

Jordan says, “Southern Pine is grateful for its members and their dedication to the electric cooperative.”

He says new members with good credit histories won’t have to pay security deposits.
