WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) - A SWAT team has been called off in Woodburn after a tense overnight standoff with a man who had barricaded himself inside a home.

Woodburn police spokesman Jason Horton said officers had to leave the house because they could not get a search warrant due to conflicting information.

But Horton said the investigation is ongoing.

Police received a call around 12:41 Monday morning about a confrontation between the barricaded man and another person in the neighborhood.

The barricaded man was believed to have a gun; he refused police requests to surrender.

Nearby schools were placed in a lockout during the standoff and one school was closed for the day.

The SWAT team was called off the standoff at about 10:30 a.m.
